Avoiding Work

The hard­est part of mak­ing a dif­fi­cult, dreaded phone call isn’t the length of the call.

It’s not even work­ing out what you’re going to say, or deliv­er­ing a tough message.

The hard­est part is pick­ing up the phone and dialling. Most times, once you do that, the rest of the call takes care of itself.  And even if it doesn’t go so well, hav­ing picked up and dialled, you some­how find the next call easier.

Stop wait­ing for the right time to call.  Just pick up and dial — it’s the hard­est part, and in real­ity, you do that per­fectly every time.
