You can’t lead from second place

There’s a leap of faith that has to be made to truly inno­vate, and most peo­ple sim­ply won’t do it. They want to check what other peo­ple think. They want to bench­mark their busi­ness against oth­ers in the indus­try. That’s fine if you want to be sec­ond. But if you want to be first you need to take a chance on what you know, and back your­self.
You can’t lead from sec­ond place.
